Comparing Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand

Papua New Guinea is less advanced and less wealthy than Australia and New Zealand due to many reasons. Australia and New Zealand have a greater connection to the outside world this and their resources helped them to become what they are today. Without these they would probably be just the same as Papua New Guinea. Even though Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand are in the same area they have different resources.

Papua New Guinea is isolated from the rest of the world due to its lack of resources. The world did not want much of what Papua New Guinea had to offer. For example they have lots of jungle but few have explored it. They only had manpower because their land did not have animals like cows or sheep but the Europeans and other countries did.The only problem was that they were not interested in their land because they had nothing to give them. Now in Papua New Guinea they do have the pig but it cannot be used for its coat or milk only the meat. This is the only animal that they have domesticated.

Their connection to the outside world was not good unlike Australia and New Zealand. They  also had an advantage Britain needed a place for prisons and Australia had enough room for them. Some of the prisoners that were let free stayed. This meant that the natives were pushed off of their land. The prisoners brought with them the knowledge of farming and many more trades. Papua New Guinea had nothing like this because they did not have the room and they only had the jungle.

In conclusion Papua New Guinea has remained largely undeveloped. Australia and New Zealand have become more western, because they had land for farming and greater connection to the outside word due to trade with Britain.
